Saw an idea on Facebook for doing chicken breasts in the crockpot for Hawaiian chicken sandwiches (though I used rotisserie chicken meat)
Servings |

Ingredients
- 1 pound chicken breasts frozen or thawed (see notes; I subbed rotisserie chicken)
- 1 can crushed pineapple see notes; I subbed chunks
- 1 bottle barbecue sauce Hawaiian flavor if you have it
- buns

Instructions
- Combine all ingredients in crockpot. If chicken is frozen, cook 7-8 hours; 5-6 for thawed meat (this seems long to me, I would check after a couple of hours).
- Shred meat with a fork. Serve on buns for sandwiches, or eat meat on its own
Recipe Notes
Stacy's Notes: I saw this really easy idea on Facebook. I have only tried it (so far) using rotisserie meat (I had some frozen in the freezer that I thawed out). I just did this in a skillet on the stovetop. I added a little bit of the pineapple juice from a small can, and some seasonings like salt, pepper, onion powder. I just cut up the pineapple chunks since I didn't have a can of crushed. I eyeballed some bbq sauce that I had on hand. This was good, really easy and really quick to serve as sandwiches.
