A recipe I’ve adapted from an old Taste of Home recipe, that I love to make in my crockpot! You’ll never guess the secret ingredient! 🙂

Crockpot Turkey Chili
Delicious, easy turkey chili for the crockpot
Instructions
In a large skillet, saute the onion, yellow pepper and garlic in oil until tender. (See Notes: I also brown the ground meat, original recipe used already cooked turkey).
Transfer to a 5-qt. slow cooker; stir in the remaining ingredients.
Cover and cook on low for 4-5 hours or until heated through.
Recipe Notes
Stacy's Notes: I've been making this many years and have made a few adjustments from the original recipe: I usually use one pound of ground turkey, that I brown with the onion (no bell pepper) on the stovetop first, before I transfer it all to the crockpot. I use about 2 to 2 1/4 cups of chicken broth (so the chili would be thicker), I use more chili powder (about 3 teaspoons). Sometimes I use less parsley and oregano and sometimes I use the full amount, LOL! I add some red cayenne pepper and garlic & onion powder to taste.
This is ready after about 4-5 hours on low. We serve with chips, sour cream and shredded cheese. Freezes well and you can certainly use already cooked turkey, leftover from Thanksgiving or any other meal.
Enjoy!
