Take a look……………..
You tell me the rest of the line! I couldn’t resist that one and if my kids read my blog, they would SO know this song! Chris or Claire might know though and whoever else might read this; so…. sing to me!
The Butterfly Conservatory at Callaway Gardens was probably mine & Stacy’s favorite spot we went that weekend. It was an interesting place, big glassed in room that I thought would be more air conditioned than it was. They kept it rather humid, to mimic a tropical like atmosphere that butterflies are used to. They have butterflies from all over the world that arrive in a chrysalis. Then they are kept in this big room with tons of plants and flowers. So when you go inside butterflies are just everywhere. The exit door is mirrored with a sign on it that tells you to check and make sure no butterflies are on you before leaving so they don’t get taken out of their environment. We had fun taking a ton of pictures!
Click below to see them:
We thought this one sort of looked like it had tiger stripes on it:
Don liked this shot from the side because he said he could see the butterfly’s tongue in it! Do they have a tongue?
Stacy tried numerous times to take some of a monarch opened up, not sure if she got one but I got a couple that turned out pretty good. Hope yours are ok too Stacy!
We loved the ones that had red on them but they were constantly on the move and almost never landed long enough to snap but sometimes we got lucky.
I think the most unusual one we saw was called an owl butterfly. When the wings were closed it looked like it had an eye on it and owl feathers, I think to keep them safe from predators….Don said there was no way that was coincidence, God’s design is everywhere! I think Stacy’s pictures here might be a little better than mine but here is one shot of the owl butterflies. (I still think they are a little creepy!)
There was a beautiful blue butterfly also but hard to catch and my shot is a bit blurry and doesn’t do it justice so hopefully Stacy will have one of this one soon.
One of my favorite ones had beautiful green spots on it; I love green! And it was a gorgeous shade of kind of a lime green…..I think all the spots were green but it didn’t turn out as good in the photos, but I still like this one!
Let me know how many of you remember the song! Sing me the rest of it!

No clue on the song, but maybe your kids will know (but hey, we both know they are too busy to read blogs!!!) 🙂
My pictures did turn out good, except for the one of the monarch opened up. Yours is way better than mine. But I got several other good ones, including the blue one. I loved that green one too, very unique looking. I am going to post mine in a few days. I have so many from the trip that I decided to space them out. Yours are really good though, so mine won’t look so hot to post after yours! 🙂

Yours are probably better than mine, you have better zoom!
I’ll tell you the song later, if no one else comments!
