In a ramekin, mix together all the spices until well combined. Add to ground turkey (I used one package of 93/7 Honeysuckle White turkey, the kind in a roll). Mix until combined, and form into 8 patties. I refrigerated for a while before cooking.
Heat large aluminum skillet over med-hi heat. Add canola oil when hot and turn down to medium. Add patties and cook well on both sides, about 10 or 12 minutes.
Stacy's Notes - Made September 2012. Really good. One pound ground turkey made 8 small patties. Next time, try using a little less salt and maybe a dash less sage. Really good the way they were, though.
More Notes: Made these again January 2013, but with ground pork instead of turkey. Used a recipe from AllRecipes as a model, a lot of the same spices as I used with turkey, but some different. I made 8 patties and fried them in canola oil in my big aluminum skillet for about 10 minutes total. Froze the remaining ones :) For the pork ones:
1 pound ground pork, 1 teaspoon dried sage, 3/4 t salt,3/4 t black pepper, 1/4 t italian seasoning, about 1/2 Tablespoon brown sugar, about 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper, dash cloves
