In a large bowl, combine soy sauce, oil, brown sugar, garlic, ginger and salt. Pour half of the marinade into a large resealable plastic bag; add beef. Seal bag and turn to coat; refrigerate for 4-8 hours, turning occasionally. Cover and refrigerate remaining marinade.
Drain and discard marinade. Alternate meat, mushrooms, green peppers, onion and tomatoes on metal or soaked wooden skewers. Grill, uncovered, over medium heat for 3 minutes on each side.
Base with reserved marinade. Continue turning and basting for 8-10 minutes until meat reaches desired doneness. Serve meat and vegetables over rice, if desired.

Stacy's Notes - Made July 2007. I used a 1 lb sirloin steak I had in the freezer and marinated it for about 6 hours. For the marinade, I used canola oil rather than vegetable, and I also used Nature's Made seasoning instead of seasoned salt, but everything else the same. I used whole mushrooms, a green bell pepper, a red onion and a zucchini for the veggies. Tim grilled, not sure how long. Served with a boxed beef flavored rice mix. We were awful and ate the whole thing!
