Preheat broiler (see my notes)
Combine first 3 ingredients; spread evenly over both sides of chicken. Place chicken on a broiler pan coated with cooking spray; broil 6 minutes on each side or until done.
While chicken cooks, heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add onion; saute 2 minutes. Add coleslaw; saute 1 minute or until coleslaw begins to wilt.
Place coleslaw mixture in a medium bowl. Add sesame oil, salt, and pepper, tossing to coat. Serve coleslaw mixture with chicken. Yield: 4 servings (serving size: 1 chicken breast half and 1/2 cup coleslaw mixture).
Poster Notes: I cooked the chicken on the GF and saved a bit of the hoisin mixture to put on the chicken after cooking. I also used broccoli slaw in place of the coleslaw mix and it was wonderful!
Stacy's Notes - Made this August 2003, pretty good. I grilled 2 boneless chicken breasts on the George Foreman grill. Made the full amount of sauce, and spread about 1/2 of it on the breasts before grilling, then we used the rest to dip our chicken in. Had to saute the cabbage (I used 1 8oz bag of coleslaw mix) for a lot longer than one minute. Sprinkled on toasted sesame oil while still on burner, next time be sure to take off heat. I'm not sure I like the flavor of toasted sesame oil, but Tim liked it. I served this with stir-fried veggies (in a frozen bag from Sam's), done with wok oil and spicy Szechuan sauce. Good and quick.
More Stacy Notes - have made this many times since originally added notes. We like this one a lot, and it's a quick and easy meal. We always double the sauce, as we like to dip our grilled chicken in it! :) Enjoy!
