hambones.org - Looking Better Around Here

I don't imagine any of you notice, but the Hambones.org website is looking a lot better these days! We've been really doing a lot of stuff behind the scenes to improve the site and add more capacity to it.

Before we left on vacation, Tim upgraded the software on the site to a new version. After we got home, we got more memory and put in the backup box (where we backup all the data every night, so hopefully we won't lose anything!). We added a new hard drive (250 gig) to the main Hambones site, so there's lots of room now for more pictures, recipes, message boards, blogs, etc. Also, we ordered a bigger hard drive for the backup box and it should be delivered this week. We also purchased a second UPS unit (uninterruptible power source) and have installed it.

The good news is that most of the work that requires us to take the Hambones server down and the site offline is now complete. The work on the backup box can be done without any interruption in service to the Hambones.org website.

Please let us know of any updates or enhancements to the site that you would like to see. We're open to suggestions for new things, and have a couple more ideas in the works for future enhancements. The good news is, now we have enough hard drive space for everything!
