DVD - The Ladykillers

This was the last of 3 movies that we rented this weekend. We certainly didn't save the best for last, at least for us. Neither of us enjoyed this movie at all. The language was atrocious, in fact, we almost cut it off several times. But, since we paid to rent it, we felt like we should stick it out. We both thought at the end that was a mistake - we would rather have our money and 2 hours back. I asked Tim to rate it, and he said it wouldn't even be a 1 out of 10 on his scale. He would never want to encourage anyone to watch this movie. :)

This movie was made by the Coen brothers (Ethan and Joel?), the same set that made O, Brother Where Art Thou. It was set in a small Mississippi town on the river where a riverboat casino is located. Tom Hanks and his merry band of misfits are trying to rob the casino's vault. They tried really hard, we think, to capitalize on O Brother, but we felt like it really came up short. The plot wasn't that bad, and it had a similar feel to it like O Brother, but the language was so bad that we were miserable throughout the entire movie.

So, on a scale of 1-10, tonight we give this movie a 0. Just our opinion, please add your comments if you've seen it :)
