Stacy’s Sesame Green Beans
One of my favorite side dishes to make!
Ingredients
Instructions
  1. Cook your green beans according to package directions, or if fresh, until they are to your desired consistency. If you like them crisp-tender, cook less. If you like them softer, cook longer, until they are the way you like them.
  2. Drain the water from the green beans and put in your skillet or saucepan with some olive oil and lightly saute. You can get a little char on them if you prefer, or just toss them around enough to coat, your preference.
  3. Season with salt and pepper. Season with soy sauce or liquid aminos. Toss and warm through until all the beans are coated with the soy sauce.
  4. Sprinkle liberally with sesame seeds, either toasted or plain. Serve and enjoy!
Recipe Notes

Stacy’s Notes: I’ve used all kinds of green beans for this – canned cut green beans, canned whole green beans, frozen cut, frozen whole long beans and fresh green beans. The only green beans I do not like cooked this way are the cut Italian style green bean, the wider flat ones.

You can microwave the green beans to cook them or warm them up, or do it all on the stovetop, your choice.

I’ve topped with both toasted sesame seeds (my favorite) and regular white sesame seeds. Both work great! A quick and easy side dish to most any protein. 🙂 Enjoy!
