Party Cheeseburgers
Ingredients
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Coat a 9×13 baking dish (I use an 11×7, whatever fits the slab of rolls you have) with non-stick cooking spray.
  2. Place a large skillet on your stove over high heat (I only use medium heat to cook the meat and seasonings). When the pan is very hot, add the beef and season with salt, pepper, cumin, mustard powder, and paprika. Add the onion and garlic, and cook, stirring occasionally, until beef is browned and onions are golden. (I drain whatever grease there is after browning the meat). Stir in drained tomatoes until well combined.
  3. Using a serrated knife, slice the slab of buns in half horizontally. Place bottom half of buns in prepared pan. Top with beef & sliced cheese. Finish off with the top half of the buns.
  4. Mix all the ingredients for the glaze in a sauce pan over medium heat until melted, smooth and combined. Pour over the buns.
  5. Bake at 350 degrees F for 25 minutes. Cover with foil, if needed, after 20 minutes, just check to see if it is over-browning.
Recipe Notes

Stacy’s Notes: A Pinterest Success!  I’ve made these many times and they are always a hit. I used the regular amount of meat and seasonings, and a slab of Hawaiian rolls.  I have made this with both the full amount of butter (1 stick) and half (1/2 stick) and it’s fine both ways (obviously better with more butter though!).  In my oven, I bake this for about 20-23 minutes, and I usually do not cover at the end since tops did not burn. A definite keeper for us!
