Day 66

No photo of Beau or a flower or bird today, but equally mundane. We’re really having beautiful weather here; it’s warm, the sun is shining and the birds are chirping!  I looked out earlier and noticed that my new bird feeder was totally empty.  So, I filled it up; hence today’s boring picture!  This is a new {expensive} kind of bird seed. The other I was buying, labeled “Songbird Food” had a lot of sunflower seeds and other types in shells.  The birds have made me a huge pile of opened shells/hulls in my flower bed.  I thought getting this kind, just nuts and fruit and no shells, might be a lot less messy!

“Songbird Food?” Hey, you were feeding me, and I never knew it!

The only thing I might warn you about this new feed is this: squirrels. I would think that they’d LOVE this feed.

Are those almonds in there? I think you’d have trouble keeping ME out of it, never mind the squirrels. *g*

I was just thinking today that I need to read up on hummingbird feeders so I know what to do with the one I got for Christmas this past year.

I think I was with you when you bought that food but what is it in here? Is this looking down into a feeder? I’m having trouble coming up with where the seed is and for some unknown crazy reason that seems important to me!

I wonder how the birds will like that food. When I try different types of seed, the birds seem to hate it. I agree that the regular mix makes a big mess, although I just mix it up with the dirt and then put mulch over it.

Your feathered friends will LOVE you! At first I thought just by looking at it, that it was a 7 bean soup mix!
