How can it be that I have grown kids, when did that happen? The time has gone by way too fast. And oh my goodness, how is it that a couple of my kids have babies? The oldest child of my oldest son started kindergarten last week; it seems like just last year that he was a baby. Last week he started kindergarten and yesterday Grayson turned six! SIX! It sounds different somehow, like you’ve turned a corner and are no longer in that baby/toddler stage.
Here’s Grayson on his first day of kindergarten, with my pretty daughter in law!

“sunrise, sunset, swiftly fly the years”

“One season following another…laden with happiness and tears…”

    Love that song.

This post scares me. I can see myself blinking and writing a similar post about the kids.

That song brings a lump to my throat. Life goes so swiftly. We must savor the moments.

I know what you mean! Sending my oldest off to school really brought me up short and made me wonder where the time had gone!

That song is one of my me & Dad’s favorites, btw, and we had it at my wedding!

I hope he is enjoying kindergarten. I am sure he is worn out! My Favorite Boy loved it, but he was exhausted the first few weeks!

The years really do fly by. I remember when Shelby was born as if it were yesterday – it was 18 years ago.

It’s hard to imagine that I could become a great-grandmother in the not-too-distant future. Hopefully, not for a long time, but it could happen.

I know, it doesn’t seem like he or our Ethan are old enough for kindergarten. Too small, too young. Now they’ll really start learning some stuff, LOL!

Oh Gail…I know! Technically I’m old enough to be becoming a grandma but I try not to think about this…heehee…I had mine a bit later but I can still feel them growing up way too fast! When my baby turned six this year I felt the same way- that she had turned a corner and it felt a bit sad.
    Hugs,
    ~Tammy

I so agree…six just sounds so much older than five for some reason! A new realm of big boydom, somehow. Max will be turning 6 in just a few short weeks, and oh my, I just don’t even want to think about it!

Before we know it..they are off to school. Then married and gone. I’m trying to treasure all the moments all the time.
