Time to share what’s on your nightstand, hosted by 5 minutes for books. I finished all but one of my books from last month; I thought about adding it again but I just don’t think I’m in the mood to read it right now! I might get around to it again in the next few months.
Here’s what I have in my stack currently.
The Measure of a Lady by Deeanne Gist
Sweet Caroline by Rachel Hauck
Sweetgrass by Mary Alice Monroe, borrowed from my sister Stacy. The first two came from my church library. The book on top is Uncharted by Angela Hunt. I just finished it a couple of nights ago at midnight……..and I’m still sort of reeling from it! It is quite possibly one of the best books I’ve read in a while! Very thought provoking and I think I’m still trying to digest it all. I waited a long time to read it from when I first heard people talking about it; couldn’t find it at my town library or at church and I hesitated about buying it. I might buy it after all and re-read it each year. I’m really itching for someone I know to read it so I can talk about it!
I should be able to get these books finished up this time and maybe even another one added to the mix as well.
Hop on over to 5 minutes for books to see what’s on other nightstands. What are you reading right now?

Fun, love seeing what everyone is reading. Is Sweet Caroline related to the other one you have by her, the Nash Vegas one or is this one stand-alone?
Happy Reading!

Some great books! I think that A Measure of A Lady may be on my top book list for the year! I love anything by Mary Alice Monroe.

I want to read A Measure of a Lady as Well. And you are right, Uncharted will leave you reeling. It’s one of those that you have to close and think back over the entire book after you know the end!

The books sound so intriguing, Gail! Right now, I’m just doing some light reading with the book I won from Jill called “A mile in my flip flops”…very cute book so far!
I think one of the most thought-provoking novels I read though was “And the Shofar Blew” a couple years ago.
I’m going to have to keep an eye for these books you mentioned at my own church library! Thanks for sharing!

Did you go to Mississippi College? A good friend of mine did, and graduated probably in 91 or 92.
I have yet to read Angela Hunt, but I know I need to sometime.
Did you see our giveaway that posted today on 5 Minutes for Books for Gist’s latest novel?
