I was tagged by Debi for this fun little book meme; being a homeschooling mom she reads quite often!
This is all about the books you’re reading or going to read.
Not sure who to tag, Debi tagged Stacy already but I think this is one Lynne could do; she’s also been reading circles around me!
Next 5 books on your to be read shelf:
1. In This Mountain by Jan Karon
2. On a Wing and a Prayer by Katherine Valentine
3. To The Nines by Janet Evanovich
4. The County Fair by Katherine Valentine
5. It Had To Be You by Susan Elizabeth Phillips
Last 4 books you’ve read:
1. The Year of Pleasures by Elizabeth Berg
2. Grace Will Lead Me Home by Katherine Valentine
3. Miss Julia’s School of Beauty by Ann B. Ross
4. A Gathering of Angels by Katherine Valentine
Last 3 books you’ve borrowed (library or friend):
1. 204 Rosewood Lane by Debbie Macomber
2. The Year of Pleasures by Elizabeth Berg
3. The Covenant by Beverly Lewis (another one still to be read!)
Last 2 non-fiction books you’ve read: (this one is harder for me because I almost always read fiction!)
1. 90 Minutes in Heaven by Don Piper
2. Things Pondered by Beth Moore
The 1 book you wish everyone would read:
Maybe I will say Les Miserables by Victor Hugo or any of Karen Kingsbury’s books….nope I can’t do it, it’s too hard to pick just one!
So tell me what you’ve been reading lately…….

sin eater is on my to do list, I have it and haven’t had time to crack it open… I think I read it some time ago but can’t remember… isn’t that terrible?
I mostly read the bible, it’s the only one I have time for and I figure if I devote any time to reading it should be His word. I love to read all kinds of books though. I loved Angela’s ashes, I was hungry during that whole book, and tis…and blackbird made me cry…

I bought Les Miserables yesterday! Just starting it now.

I read The Year of Pleasures not too long ago. Loved it. Anything of Elizabeth Berg’s is always good. :o)

I have been so busy planning the wedding lately that I had to put my books on the shelf for a while. I got some great ideas from your list… thanks!

Oh Gail–I’d be willing to bet you get a lot more reading done than I do! I’m really good at joining the reading challenges though…lol.

Anything by Karen Kingsbury is a good bet. Her books are so good. I just loved the Redemption series. They are on my all-time favorites list.

My father *just* asked me last night if I’d heard of “90 Minutes in Heaven” — one of the other staff ministers at our church was talking about it to him. I’d never heard of it before…how odd to have it show up here the next day. 😉

The Complete Guide to Coaching Girls’ Basketball. I’m gonna need it in just a couple of weeks!!

I came by from Karen’s blog (Over the Backyard Fence). I read through your book that our are/have read/ing and I have added Valentine to my list of authors. I don’t believe she is one I have read. I have a list of 38+ books. I’m newly “retired” and at his point I seem to be STILL too busy to read 🙂
I enjoyed my visit here. Good luck with that readng list 🙂

I am reading 1776 and Nineteen Minutes. I am going to steal some of the titles on your list and add them to my TBR list!

Thanks for all your comments. I loved the nice long visit.
To answer your question, my husband is on the pastoral staff of a large contemporary church in central Florida. We tease him that he is the “pastor of everything nobody else wants to do.” I being vague on purpose. I hope you are not offended. It isn’t you at all, it is just this huge blogosphere that is a little scary. Ya never know who is reading this stuff 🙂
I’ll come again. I am so glad you de-lurked.

Hey Gail, no you are not too nosy at all. It is a Baptist church but you wouldn’t know it from the name. It is a contemporary seeker-sensitive church with about 3,000 folks. Nice and cozy!

OK Gail, I’ll take you up on this one. I’ll put a post up soon.

Good books, and I have read a lot of those. I will have to work on this soon; I think I saw that Debi tagged me. The easy thing for me is that I have a lot of this posted on my sidebar already 🙂
Happy Reading!
