Thirteen Things About My Halloween Week
1. We had a harvest type festival at church over the weekend
2. With a cakewalk included…..I won a cake, & have frozen it to use at Thanksgiving
3. Also did trunk or treat at church for the kids
4. Had only a little candy leftover
5. So I had to go buy more for Tuesday night
6. I think we had about 40+ kids
7. Lots of them weren’t even dressed up this year
8. Had a few parents trick or treating, said it was for their kids! (what’s up with that)
9. All of the candy was gone in about 40 minutes time
10. The rain held off until later in the night
11. Only a little toilet paper to clean up in the yard this year!
12. Made this candy corn bark…I think the people I shared it with liked it!
13. I don’t want to see candy again for a while!

I can’t imagine parents trick or treating for their kids…….crazy people!

Parents who went trick or treating with their children … of course. Parents who went trick or treating instead of the children? Are they out of their minds? The white chocolate bark looks good though :o)

sounds like a fun halloween π i’m not fun at all. no parties this year, and when the kids come around, we just hide out in the back of the house with all the lights out!

Not dressing up for Hallowe’en? They wouldn’t get any candy if they weren’t in costume. π And parents trick-or-treating for their kids? That’s just wrong. *shakes head*
Congratulations on winning the cake. π
Happy T13. π

i really hate it when kids don’t even bother to dress up. or just put in a pair of vampire teeth & think it’s a costume. i hate it even more when the parents do it for their kids. my dad wouldn’t even drive us around! we could trick or treat as far as we could walk & when we got tired we went home. at least we had to work for our loot!

Boy, I agree with you that it’s a little weird that parents without little kids would be going around getting candy. Why would they do that? That’s very strange. I’m personally just relieved Halloween is over. Time to get excited about Thanksgiving. Whew!

One of my fondest memories of my childhood is a Halloween I couldn’t go because I had the measles. I felt so left out. Then my grandmother showed up with a bag of candy for me. She’d gone Trick or Treating for me. When she told people why she was out doing this, they threw more candy into her bucket. π
Have a Happy!

What a rip off that they didn’t even try to come up with a costume. Sounds like a busy spooktacular week.

You’re lucky. My son brought home tons of candy! So I’ll be seeing it for a long time (unless I eat it all and get fat lol). Happy Thursday!

I only had 2 trick or treaters which is good because I forgot to get candy and had to dig into my personal Dove candy jar. Plus, the doorbell ringing really upset my dog, who wasn’t feeling well.
