Yes, once again it’s SUMMER and time for……………….Bible School! My friend at church that directs ours needed help decorating and getting ready for VBS, which starts next week. So, I told her I’d help today with some of the decorating; I should have worn old clothes because I didn’t know I’d be painting! She had an overhead projector and some transparancies that put the picture up on the wall and then I had to climb up onto a table and trace the big, blown up picture onto huge sheets of paper we put up on the wall. Got 2 of those done and then we started painting them. It was really more tiring than I realized it would be; I was climbing up and down and then would be down on the floor either tracing or painting. This year’s theme is Arctic Edge I think, so lots of lodge, mountain and animal kinds of scenes. Click below for the rest of the entry, with a picture!
The first one I traced was a big window with a lake and mountains out the window and curtains on the window. That one isn’t quite finished so didn’t get a shot of it but the one I worked more on was a huge fireplace we did on brown paper. I got most of the painting finished on it, but not the flame or log……I think you can tell in the pic where the flame will go and tomorrow we will either paint that in or what I think she wants to do is put like maybe red cellophane paper in for the flame. Once I stepped back away from the wall and looked at it, I actually thought it turned out pretty good and I was proud of it! This one took all afternoon to do, whew!

That looks really good! Post a picture of the other one too, when you guys get finished. Good job!!! 🙂
