Congratulations to Florida Storm Surge, aka Dawn Peters, for winning our family fantasy football league this year! Fore Left (Zack) came in second, and Delta Dawgs (Gail) came in third!

Hambones Fantasy Football Results

We have had two great seasons of fantasy football!

2014 saw Pigskin Posse (Stacy) finishing first, followed by Fore Left (Zack) and Chilli Peppers (Moises) in second and third place.

2015 was the year for the Pearl Swamp Wood Ducks! Michael came in first place, followed by Mississippi Mustangs (Amanda) and Fore Left (Zack) in third place.

We look forward to everyone playing again next year!

Fantasy Football 2010

The sixth season of our family fantasy football league concluded in late December 2010. Congratulations to Stacy, whose team was named Pigskin Posse, for winning this year!

Saints win the Super Bowl!!!

Who Dat say de gonna beat dem Saints? Who Dat? Who Dat?

Yes, the unthinkable has happened! Our beloved Saints had a great season, led by our quarterback, #9 Drew Brees. The Saints started out with a 13-0 record, another record breaking stat, before losing the last 3 games of the season. They earned a bye in the first round of the playoffs, and also home field advantage. We beat the Arizona Cardinals and the Minnesota Vikings, at home, to earn our first ever Super Bowl berth. The Saints took South Florida by storm, and defeated the Indianapolis Colts in Super Bowl 44, by a score of 31-17.

We are still celebrating, and probably will be, the entire off-season!

Fantasy Football 2009

Our fifth season of our family fantasy football league concluded in late 2009. Congratulations to Zack, whose team was named the Big Ham, for winning this year!

Sam Turns One!

Our great-nephew, Sam Cole, turned one on October 8, 2008! Happy Birthday to Sam :) We haven't been posting news here on Hambones.org for a while, so we neglected to even post last year when he was born. We're trying to improve on that and post some more news out here.

We'll be going to his first birthday party to see the birthday boy this weekend. I hear he's even taking steps and walking some now, so we're looking forward to seeing that and his big sister Katelyn too :)

Hambones Fantasy Football League - Fall 2008

The Hambones Fantasy Football league is now entering its fourth season, with the opening of professional football in Sept 2008. Congratulations to our previous winners (Tim in year 1, Chris in year 2 and Moises in year 3), and good luck to everyone playing this year. We hope it's a fun season for everyone involved.

We have a few new features this year to our league. First, we participated in the first live draft, which was fun. Tim and Stacy hosted it at their house on Labor Day, and Gail, Chris, Tim and Stacy all participated (Zack tried to live draft, but he couldn't remember his password!), and Mark participated via a conference call. Also, this year we are hosting the league at ESPN rather than Yahoo. ESPN provides free live scoring for everyone, so we really liked that feature.
